What's the Difference Between a Spoiler and a Wing?

Spoilers, you find on the trunks, roofs, hoods, and rear ends or cars and SUVs and over the beds or on the roofs of truck cabs. Wings are larger spoilers; supercars and other performance vehicles sometimes have them. Types of wings include whale-tail ("tea tray"), with raised and upswept edges, and gurney-flap (also called wickerbill), with small, tabbed edges that point up further. A wing is designed to dramatically increase downforce, more than a spoiler does, and at high speeds specifically; this adds stability, improves handling, and makes having one great for racing.

How Do I Install an Adhesive Spoiler on My Vehicle?

It's easy. Grab some paint prep (e.g., isopropyl alcohol) and a couple cleaning cloths, plus some masking tape, a tape measure, and a little silicone-based sealing caulk. Then clean the trunk lid, follow directions from Mopar on applying the tape, positioning the spoiler properly, and pressing it on firmly and evenly. Be sure to install in warmer temps, in the 70s Fahrenheit, for best results. You'll probably need to let the adhesive set 12 hours or so.
